06 December 2022, Arabian Business

The community’s official social media pages have been hinting at a big reveal that is set to take place on December 5.

Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), a popular community for hundreds of thousands of residents has unveiled a new branding after over a decade of existence, alongside a big reveal set to be announced on Monday, December 5.

The new logo features bold shapes of yellow on a contrast purple background with “Discover the neighbourhood full of soul,” seemingly being the theme of the new revamp.

The new rebranded website details to be a ‘city within a city’ describing the area as an ‘ultimate eclectic neighbourhood, where countless nationalities live, work and play together.”

JLT is home to five hotels, two universities, 87 commercial and residential towers, parks and running tracks, over 600 retail outlets with more than 300 restaurants and cafés, the area is a place of home, work and play for over 100,000 individuals.

Last month, Arabian Business reported that Dubai rental structures could be seeing significant changes with a new Rental Index to govern how much landlords and building owners will be able to hike prices for tenants.

Proposed changes currently under discussion are for Dubai’s rental index to be based on the quality of individual buildings rather than the neighbourhood they are in, according to media reports. The mulled updates come as rents in Dubai have surged 27 percent this year.

Currently, rents are calculated on area over property type.

Palm Jumeirah, Al Barari, JLT, Dubai Marina are areas with higher rents due to location however, these locations could now see a range of rental options based on building quality providing rents with varying budgets with more options.
